Moon Waxing : An Overview

Moon Waxing is a contemporary odyssey through modern British Society, a tale of conflict and survival on the lower rungs of career society. Moon Waxing paints a picture of the attitudes and traditions of the three tiers of British Society, and specifically the journey of a young boy across them during turbulent times. The novel charts the growth and enlightenment of a youth who finds himself distanced from polite society and who is driven to fight for survival on the streets of the City, where his adventures and enlightenment are born. In his attempts to prosper he takes on the challenges of the underworld and the ghettos in a world of night clubs and security.

A struggle for power and money erupts upon the streets of the Welsh Capital, pulling the authorities and the leaders of the rival security firms into a war of mind and flesh. It is a moral tale of the consequences of greed, treachery and betrayal in an unseen world of violence and witchcraft. Through his conflict he creates himself and survives the elements of darkness that threaten his being, in a story that carries the message that love, hope and truth can never be vanquished because they are beyond the material and the flesh. This is the story of a mythical figure who was known as the Black Panther and of his times and adventures.

The novel is written in five parts with the three underlying themes of society, redemption and great adventure. Part two is shown as a sample of the style and flow of the novel.
